Bits of Sweetness: Life update

Life update

I'm finally back to blogging! Or, at least we hope. I'm going to post the other entries I have from another blog so they're all in one place.

Life has been busy with extra hours at work. I normally work as the afteroon assistant in the preschool room but with people on vacation, I worked nine hours every day, mostly helping in the Pre-K room. It was a good chance to gain experience working with that class, but I will be So glad to be back in my room tomorrow! The kids need their lead teacher back :-) She was gone camping. We'll all be glad to have her back too.

This pregnancy is flying by! I'll be 25 weeks on Wednesday. We're so blessed. Everything is going really well. I can feel Andrew kicking just about all the time now. It's so precious :-) He's found his favorite spot as well. I'm enjoying it while there is still plenty of room.

Friday I found out that one of our kids at work will be gone in two weeks. I'm a little sad. She's my buddy. She only started at the center a couple weeks ago. At first she was a really hard child to have in class. Lots of behavior and listening problems.I decided to try positive discipline and love. It worked wonders and she responded incredibly well. It's the first time I've had this experience so it was special to have happen. It'll be hard to see her go on, but I'm thankful God allowed her to be there for the short time she was. I think of that a lot with some of the kids we have. You can just tell their home situations are really hard. It's such a wonderful thing to be able to give them the love and attention they long for.

Last night, I decided to put together the wonderful pack n play crib Josh's Grandma purchased for us. I'm not sure why I wanted to do it without the instructions or help from Josh, but hey! It was just a play crib! You wouldn't think it would be too difficult, right? Lol... well... in theory. I don't think that crib liked me very much. It, of course, cooperated beautifully the first time around for Josh. Go figure! Now that it's set up I almost don't want to take it down! It has a wonderful bassinet level to it, as well as a mobile, light and sound attachment, and a changing table/tray to set in. It will be great to have to take along on trips. I think I'll let Josh set it up though. He seems to have the knack for it! (Or,as I concluded, the crib just likes him m0re.)

Verse for the week:

1 Peter 5:7- Casting all your cares upon Him for he cares for you.

My goal: remembering that with the small things too this week.
