Bits of Sweetness: Music to our ears

Music to our ears

It's been years since I've been to a concert. Since before Andrew was born. I had forgotten what the entire experience was like! A bunch of people from our church went to the Rock and Worship Roadshow in Seattle yesterday. Only $10 at the door! Can't beat that!! It was loud. There were lots of great artists. We sang along. And had way too much fun. I was really impressed with the message MercyMe gave. "Sometimes we get so wrapped up in the gift (salvation) that we forget to worship the giver (God)." Such powerful words!  I wish I could have recorded it all! But, we had such a good time together! It was completely worth not getting home until close to 1 and still going to church the next day. Here are some video clips. (I LOVE our Flip Video camera. It really does do high def video!! We were up a little ways but it still did a great job of capturing it!! Some of the songs are only clips, but hey, better than nothing right?!)

This is my current favorite song. Look up the whole version on Youtube- Matt Maher- Come Awake

I got a pretty picture (with my lame phone) of the Space Needle while there. It's not the sunlight that you see but light from a streetlamp.

After the concert, we wanted to go to Dick's restaurant(a total Seattle tradition/thing!), but the first two had massive crowds, so after twenty minutes, stuck in lovely after-concert traffic, and many windy roads later, we finally made it!!! I had never been to one before. It was like In 'n Out though. Heavenly!! Ohh my. I could make it a habit. Easily. It was that good. And super cheap too!! We will be going back!!

I didn't get home until after 1:00 and to bed much later but still made it to church the next day. It was totally worth it though! What a fun night :-)

  1. Sounds like it was way fun! I would love to go to a concert, I havent ever been to one. Actually I went a free Jacie Valesquez one but it wasnt the real concert experiance, it was pretty small and no one sang along. Anyway, looks like a good night and some yummy looking food!
