Bits of Sweetness: Perfect Ham Glaze

Perfect Ham Glaze

This is my top favorite glaze for ham. It is to die for. It is about as good as candy. I could almost eat it by itself (ok, confession: I have :-D) I don't only make it on Easter though! We enjoy it throughout the year! It would go perfect with the scalloped potato recipe I posted

Perfect Ham Glaze

Ingredients:
1 large can pineapple slices or tidbits (You'll also use the juice from the can)
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. honey
1 TBS ground cloves (2 Tbs if you like the flavor)
1 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 -1 c. brown sugar

Melt butter in a large frying pan. Add pineapple juice, honey, cloves, cinnamon & brown sugar. Add ham slices. Cover & simmer on low until thickened.

Note: The longer you cook the ham in it the better (the longer it has to soak up the flavor!) This would make a

great crock pot recipe too!
