Bits of Sweetness: Easter 2012

Easter 2012

This year was a little different for Easter since we usually gather with my Dad's side of the family, but this year, we all had smaller celebrations with our own families. It was the first time I've ever hosted! And what a fun day it was!

I could hardly wait for Andrew to get up Easter morning! We had some fun planned!
I think the pictures speak pretty well for the excitement going on :)

We went to church and enjoyed the service. I didn't get a picture of it,
but my secret prayer sister left me a HUGE candy bouquet!
(Secret prayer sisters is a neat thing we do. At the beginning of the year, you fill out a paper with your name, birthday, things you like, and things to pray for. all the papers go in a box and a few weeks later you draw a name. You get to secretly give that person encouragement throughout the year in whatever form. At Christmas, we all give our person a gift to reveal who we were. It's a great way to get to know each other and so much fun to give knowing how much it can encourage them too! It's fun to try to figure out who it is too! This year I still haven't figured mine out! That's half the fun though :) )

After church we came home and got ready for Easter dinner!
I didn't get a single picture of the food, but believe me, it was good!
We still have a little bit of ham with pineapple glaze left as well as some yummy creamed corn!

After dinner was the Easter egg hunt! Oh what fun Andrew had!

What a memorable, fun Easter it was! So amazing to celebrate more than just candy and a bunny!
It is neat to see Andrew learning and how excited he is about the Easter story now.
He is such a little sponge and it is amazing to see!
How was your Easter?
