Bits of Sweetness: Thankful Thursdays

Thankful Thursdays

Thursday already? Yep..! And there is much to be thankful for this week.

Thankful for great ideas, like this list of good kids books to read aloud. Some are a little bit old for Andrew but are definitely going on my list! There are so many more of our own beloved favorites I could add to the list! The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear , Don't Let the Pigeon Stay up Late!, Mike Mulligan and his Steam Shovel , Peekaboo Kisses(awesome for younger kids!But Andrew still loves!), The Emporer Penguin's New  Clothes , A Child's First Bible (beautiful illustrations in that one!),The Day Jimmy's Boa Ate the Wash, If You Give a Pig a PancakeWe're Going on a Bear Hunt... and ohh the list could go on!! What are your favorite kids books (ones you loved growing up or new favorites?)?

I'm thankful for articles that make me stop and think, in a good way, about Josh & I's relationship. This article in particle was really really good. Although we're not newlyweds (although that may depend on the couple you're comparing us to!) it was still a great read.

This incredibly inspiring video. Watch and be amazed at how the memory of one little girl from Seattle could make such a difference in the world! People made a difference in honor of her memory. {Don't forget to pause the music player so the audio won't interfere!}

I love this list of  140 ways to change the world. Anyone can do the things on it. Like cleaning out your old clothes and donating them to someone in need. Or think, speak, and acting in a loving manner. Or one of my favorites- waving to a kid in the car next to you :)

I am thankful for Andrew and the joy and laughter he brings us. He was given a boys clip on tie and has been finding ways to wear it however he can (so he can be "just like Daddy!") It's pretty cute. Yesterday he wanted to be a superhero. So, superhero it was!

{I may be totally biased but I think he's the cutest superhero ever!}
Funny story: Right after we got his super hero outfit on, he started exclaiming,
"I am Doctor Suzie and I make things explode!!!"
He seriously cracks me up! Where does he come up with these things?!?!

This morning he just wanted to be handsome.
{Sigh. Is it just me or does he look so much older and oh-so-handsome here?!)

Keeping it super short and sweet today. Happy Thursday!!

A Day in the Life

  1. What a little cutie! He is so adorable and I cracked up with the Dr Suzie thing, lol

  2. I love the pictures, so cute!

    My childhood favorites are: The little golden books (Shy Little Kitten and The Color Kittens are two that I really remember and love!), I was very into princesses so any of the classic fairy tales, Eric Carle, and I could go on and on. I've always loved reading! :)

Your kindness in leaving a comment truly makes my day!
