Bits of Sweetness: One Month old

One Month old

Yesterday was Adrian's one month birthday. I can't believe I just typed that either! Is it really possible that a month ago we were holding our just-born son?! Is it possible that we are doing this whole two-kiddos thing?! I guess so..! Adrian is a joy, and I am so thankful God blessed us with him. Everyone who knows me kindof chuckles at the fact that I had said that we weren't planning on having any more kids yet. (We weren't!) Although really, it was just "off" by a few months...(I just wanted to be done with school first.) Isn't it funny how God works sometimes?! It's kindof like, we make plans and he says, "oh really? Watch what I am going to do with plan b!" And while it can throw one for a loop, it is neat to see how he works with the "plan b" and how sometimes it can be much better than you thought plan a would be! Who knew that two would be so amazing? We are loving it, even if it means getting out the door in any kind of short amount of time is worth a good laugh and, that our outfits didn't make it through the day unscathed! We wouldn't trade it :)

{Sigh... happy sigh... I love our little boy!}

 One month milestones-
 -holding his head up high (Andrew did the same thing at a month!)
-eating... lots!!
-following our voices
-sometimes smiling (Daddy got the first smile! It was a grin too!)
-waking up only once or twice at night (unless he's in a growth spurt!)
-going from 7 lbs 1 oz to 7 lbs 11 oz.

 Some pictures just for fun :)

As for Andrew? He is completely in love with his little brother.
It has surprised me how well he has done with this big transition in his life.
Today at church, we were sharing Adrian with friends, because,
of course, everyone wants to hold him. After about two minutes, Andrew looked around
frantically trying to find him. "I want him back!" He said with a very serious look on his face.
"Where did he go?!" was his next question. He loves him. And I think that is an understatement.
(We are working on what "love" means. Like, you know, not hitting his head to say hi.
Or shoving his eyelid open so he can wake up so you can say hi to him ;-) All in due time, right?!)

These next photos sum up Andrew and Adrian pretty well.

{"Don't cry Adrian! Andrew is here! I love you!"}
