Snickerdoodle Carmel Corn

You all are in for a treat. My mouth just exploded with the incredibleness of this stuff. I made up the recipe tonight, on a whim, to try to make something my own that could be an easy go-to and fun fourth of July tradition for us. Let'st just say it was more than a hit. (My dad and I polished off an entire bowl between the two of us. It's that good.)

Snickerdoodle Carmel Corn
3 cups popped popcorn (we love butter flavored)
1/2 c. butter & brown sugar
4-5 TBS equal parts cinnamon & sugar
Food coloring (optional)
Festive sprinkles (optional)

Pop popcorn. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar as much popcorn as possible(and add more if you'd like!).In a small saucepan, melt the butter on medium-low heat, slowly adding & whisking in the brown sugar. Boil on a low boil for three minutes until frothy in appearance. Add food coloring. Drizzle over popcorn. Mix in sprinkles. Enjoy. (The butter & cinnamon sugar make this.)
