Thought I would humor you with an updated version of what Andrew has been saying these days.
Heard tonight upon seeing that Adrian had climbed up on our couch by himself, "Holy cow! Look at our child!" The other day he remarked, "It's so nice we have another son in our family!" He sometimes refers to others in relation to what they are to us, rather than him, so it's not uncommon to hear him ask, "Are we going to see your brother in law?" Rather than, "Are we going to see Uncle Ben?"
These days he is no joke! He had been having a bad attitude so I told him that we were going to have to leave our friends' house. I gave him the choice to choose a good attitude before we left. He told me, "NO. Never! I never will choose a good attitude! And I will never ever ever say sorry!" Interesting the logic there buddy! On the other hand though, he has so many sweet adorable moments that outweigh the hard, sad ones. And, when he apologizes, he always asks if I'll forgive him. Always.
The other day, he told me, "Mama, I just love you more than the biggest." "That much huh, buddy?" "Yeah. Maybe you should find some bricks so I can stay little forever!" Ahh he heard me teasing him! So funny what kids don't forget!
He loves pretending. His latest thing? Combining two loves- Jesus, and portals from Minecraft. Yep. That's our boy!
I am so thankful God gave us this sweet boy. There are many times I have to remind myself that kids are just kids and want to learn their place in life, and who they are. It's been so fun to watch his personality emerge. I love his heart.
