Bits of Sweetness: Giving gifts that matter

Giving gifts that matter

Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
-Harriet Tubman

This time of year, I'm wanting to do something to tangibly impact the lives of others. It's so hard to know where to even look though! (And which people truly could benefit from it.)

So, what to do? I thought of a fun idea. We are going to double bless people- one locally and one internationally. If I think about what little things bless me, I can't imagine how much more they would mean to someone else! So, cookies and coffee for someone local.

These are some of my favorite cookies by the way- peppermint chocolate with pieces of peppermint in the frosting. Anyone know what I'm talking about? :) Imagine how much someone without a home might enjoy a little holiday treat and cup of comfort for the body and soul.( I'll post a recap with how this goes! )

Giving far away. Not an easy prospect. Where to even start? Well, here, quite honestly. Their catalog is beautiful and sensible. See these cute boys?

They each picked a gift they want to give. And, they took their time looking!
Andrew's pick:

Adrian's pick:

Both fabulous choices. Check out the catalog here and let me know what is on your world-changing list!

Want to see sunshine in the world? Start by simply being some! Then find who you can spread it to! This holiday season, check out www.care.org for more meaningful gifts!
